Our major project at this time is the construction of a Leviathan Coach. A full size replica, fully hand built and as authentic to original materials as is possible. It will carry up to 82 passengers and our plan is to utilise the coach as an educational tool to expand the story of Cobb & C0. This major undertaking is not receiving any government funding so we are appealing to the private sector for assistance and support in whatever way you can help us. We are keeping the history alive, these are the fundamentals of how Australia was opened up to settlers and in particular how the tracks became unmade roads & the unmade roads became main transport routes, and about the people who made it all possible … The Australian Teamsters. This would not be the first replica, one was built for a movie in the mid 1980’s. It was built by Mike Hendrickson and was made from tubular steel, plywood and fitted with gun carriage wheels. The coach was on display until approximately 2015 in Nymboida, 20km south and west of Grafton, NSW. The coach was produced from an artists impression. Here at ‘The Australian Teamsters Hall Of Fame’ we will be creating the best possible accurate to size and quality with the aid of a scale drawing of the 77 - 82 passenger, horse drawn, Leviathan Coach and will be displayed in the museum. If you would like to be part of this project please contact us regarding donations and or sponsorship details.
